Whilst at home recently, I found one of my first ever *designs*. Turns out my interest in sustainability goes back further than I thought!
With that in mind, a lot has happened in the last 6 months, so it’s about time I share a bit of an update...
In December 2023, I decided to step back from my position as Director of Product and Marketing at Scrapp.
As many of you know, Scrapp began as an idea that Evan, Mikey and I dreamt up in our dorm room [Image 2]. None of us could have imagined how far we would take the company in the years since – from building an app we were told was impossible, to being invited into Microsoft's Sustainability Program, and celebrating clients like National Grid, British Airways and DHL. I genuinely couldn’t be prouder of everything we have achieved.
I’m also grateful to all the incredible people I met along and the opportunity to learn so much while building Scrapp – from designing the brand, app, and products from the ground up, to juggling marketing, commercial direction, fundraising rounds, numerous launches, and many stressful “can we redesign it in an afternoon” demos!
I have complete faith that the team will continue making great progress towards our core mission to make zero waste accessible to all.
As for what’s next, I’ll be continuing to pursue my passion for UX and design – a passion I might never have discovered if it wasn’t for Scrapp. I’m currently working as a UX Designer at one of the UK's longest-running marketing agencies. I've kept much of this side of my work intentionally quiet, but I’m excited to start sharing a few recent highlights and achievements.
I appreciate that many of my connections here were built whilst working on Scrapp, but if you’re ever looking for a hand with your brand or website, feel free to get in touch.
